Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking a Project Lab Manager to lead daily lab operations for multi-program hardware environments supporting DoD development. You will own lab configuration control, asset tracking, and space planning, ensuring equipment readiness and documentation accuracy.

You will coordinate with engineering, program management, IT, and security to meet schedules while upholding lab safety and DoD compliance. On-site, you will drive continuous improvement in asset management practices.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years in lab/asset management; or equivalent.
• 3+ years in hardware, engineering, or integration/test lab environments.
• Experience with asset management or property control in a DoD/defense setting.
• Ability to read basic technical docs to manage configurations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• On-site full-time work in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Own lab configuration control for areas and shared test setups in engineering labs.
• Define standard configurations, naming conventions, labeling, and movement practices.
• Maintain equipment revisions, connection diagrams, and lab layout docs.
• Coordinate power, network, cooling, and space planning with facilities and IT.
• Ensure changes to lab configurations are documented and traceable.
• Implement and manage check-in/check-out processes for lab equipment.
• Maintain lab sign-out logs, reservations, and utilization tracking.
• Enforce lab rules for ESD, safety, and configuration control.
• Prepare lab configurations to support integration events and demonstrations.
• Track asset location, custody, calibration, and status across DoD programs.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and audits with logistics and property.
