Job summary

Voith Hydro is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the HyCon Governor product family, covering both digital and hydraulic governors. Define the product strategy, manage lifecycle, and translate market needs into competitive offerings with a growth mindset.

The role collaborates with regional sales, service, and engineering teams to drive profitable growth, develop GTM plans, and deliver customer value in hydropower applications across global locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration with strong technical affinity, or in Engineering with commercial/ business experience.
• Several years of experience in commercial product management, business development, or portfolio management.
• Strong analytical and strategic capabilities including market assessment and financial evaluation.
• Technical affinity for control and governing systems; experience with turbine governors or hydropower is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work across regions and functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global product and growth strategy for the HyCon Governor product family, including digital and hydraulic governors.
• Take commercial ownership of the product portfolio across its lifecycle from idea to obsolescence, coordinating with automation and hydraulic engineering.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitor analyses; develop business cases, pricing approaches, and profitability initiatives.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities in standalone, modernization, and service markets with regional sales teams.
• Define value propositions and go-to-market plans, coordinate product launches, and monitor performance with senior management.
