Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Advanced Senior Controls Engineer – Hydro to join our Power and Water Solutions team. You will lead retrofit and modernization efforts across North America, designing turbine governor systems and plant control solutions for hydro facilities, and configuring PLC/HMI software for project-specific needs.

You will travel up to 30% domestically to support projects and act as the primary technical contact for customers, delivering turnkey control system solutions from design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of controls and automation experience.
• Hands-on design and commissioning of control systems for hydro power plants.

Responsibilities

• Lead retrofit and modernization projects for hydroelectric facilities.
• Design turbine governor systems and plant control solutions.
• Develop control logic using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and flow diagrams.
• Configure PLC and HMI software for project requirements.
• Support FAT and on-site commissioning of control systems.
