Job summary

ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to join our Engineering team to ensure our handheld outdoor power equipment meets all applicable safety and environmental standards. This role manages end‑to‑end compliance, coordinates third‑party certifications, and guides internal teams on regulatory requirements, including UL, CSA, IEC, and ISO standards.

The position is on-site at the Lake Zurich, IL facility with a salary range of $80,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience

Qualifications

• Experience managing product safety and regulatory compliance for outdoor equipment.
• Experience obtaining product certifications or declarations of conformity (UL/CSA or similar).
• Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and product safety standards.
• Own end‑to‑end product compliance for ECHO products sold globally, including certifications and post‑certification activities.
• Collaborate with design and engineering to align products with applicable standards.
• Review test results against standards and determine product acceptability.
• Coordinate with Test Engineers to troubleshoot test methods and results.
• Communicate compliance status, risks and requirements to cross‑functional teams.
• Review documentation, product markings, and labeling for regulatory accuracy.
• Represent the organization on industry/regulatory committees to help shape evolving standards.
