Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. in Alabama is offering an internship in Procurement - Equipment Buyer (International Student).

You will assist the National Commodity Specialist with sourcing strategies for non-production materials and help manage supplier data, contracts and compliance documentation. Our program includes a paid internship at $18 per hour, visa costs coverage, and a housing bonus. Start date February 2027, with a minimum commitment of six months and opportunities to work

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university program in engineering, finance, or business.
• Demonstrated interest in procurement and supplier management.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with data analysis in Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing strategies for non-production materials.
• Assist in organizing supplier events and collaborative workshops.
• Support management of supplier data, contracts and compliance docs.
• Participate in negotiations under guidance of senior buyers.
• Prepare presentations and report KPI results to management.
