YOUR ROLE
As the Global Process Owner for Core HR Processes, you will lead the transformation and standardization of the employee lifecycle from hire to retire across a global manufacturing organization.
This role requires a Lean transformation mindset, combining process engineering, value stream design, organizational change leadership, and business acumen. You will evaluate current-state processes where work is performed, identify waste and opportunities, build compelling business cases for change, and deliver measurable improvements through standardized global processes and enabling technology.
Success requires more than defining standards. You must be able to align stakeholders, drive adoption, translate process requirements into system solutions, and ensure sustainable business outcomes across diverse operations and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Lean Process Design & Transformation
- Lead end-to-end redesign of global hire-to-retire processes using Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering principles.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping workshops in plants, operations, and local HR organizations to understand how work is actually performed and identify waste, variation, bottlenecks, and quality risks.
- Design future-state processes that improve efficiency, quality, employee experience, compliance, and organizational scalability.
- Establish global standards while minimizing local variation to only those driven by legal requirements or documented business values
- Business Case Development & Execution
- Identify transformational improvement opportunities and develop data-driven business cases that quantify operational, financial, and organizational impact.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk reduction, process performance, and strategic objectives.
- Lead implementation efforts from concept through deployment, ensuring successful adoption and measurable results.
- Drive accountability for achieving targeted improvements in process quality, cycle time, compliance, productivity, and user experience.
- Process Governance & Quality
- Own global process governance, control frameworks, policies, and operating standards for the employee lifecycle.
- Establish process performance metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness, quality, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure sustainable process execution through standard operating procedures, audit mechanisms, and structured problem-solving practices.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions where process quality or operational performance falls below expectations.
- Workday & Process Enablement
- Serve as the functional owner of hire-to-retire processes within Workday.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for HRIS and technology teams.
- Ensure organizational structures, process flows, controls, and data integrity are maintained within the global system of record.
- Partner closely with HR Operations, HRIS, IT, and business leaders to optimize system-enabled process performance.
- Leadership & Influence
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with regional and site leaders to develop alignment and ownership of future-state processes.
- Influence stakeholders across functions, regions, and organizational levels without direct reporting authority.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, process discipline, and customer-focused service delivery.
- Coach local teams and process owners on Lean methodologies, process improvement, and standard work practices.
