Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to champion a strong process safety culture across global operations. You will conduct risk assessments, incidents investigations, and maintain safety programs while collaborating with EH&S, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

You will lead audits, provide training on hazard recognition, and support process changes with emphasis on regulatory compliance and safe operation of facilities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred).
• 5-7+ years in a production facility, process safety, or process engineering.
• Fluency in English.
• Working knowledge of process safety principles, regulatory requirements, and EH&S guidelines.
• Experience auditing manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM / EPA RMP, PHA, LOPA, PHAST, SIS, QRA, HAZOP.

Responsibilities

• Direct risk assessment techniques including PHA and LOPA. Review risk evaluation methods for new projects.
• Lead or participate in plant incident investigations to determine root causes.
• Provide training to facility personnel on process safety and hazard recognition.
• Maintain and update process safety programs and tools to improve safety performance.
• Assist process engineering in equipment specifications and technology implementation.
• Perform process safety audits and help develop corrective action plans.
• Support regional Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure safe transit of hazardous goods.
