Job summary

StepStone Group is seeking undergraduate students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 to join our Private Debt team as Summer Analysts. This internship offers hands-on experience reviewing private debt opportunities and conducting due diligence across primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and separately managed accounts.

You will work with senior staff to analyze market trends, prepare investment materials, and interact with leading fund managers in the private credit space.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong analytical/mathematical skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Review private debt opportunities and conduct due diligence on selected GPs.
• Analyze investment opportunities across Primary Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Secondaries or Co-Investments.
• Interact with top fund managers in the private credit industry.
• Prepare fund summaries and investment memorandums.
