Job summary

IDEXX, a global leader in animal health, seeks a Chief Privacy Officer to drive IDEXX's privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance programs. The CPO will lead the Privacy Center of Excellence, partner with Legal, IT, and executives, and ensure compliance with data protection laws worldwide while enabling responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading privacy/compliance or AI governance programs.
• Experience managing global privacy programs across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to influence executive leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD and emerging AI regulation.
• Experience partnering with CISO on data breach response.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IDEXX's global privacy strategy and operating model.
• Monitor and interpret evolving privacy laws and enforcement trends.
• Lead the design and maintenance of privacy policies, standards, and controls.
• Oversee privacy impact assessments and cross-border transfer reviews.
• Serve as executive sponsor of the Global Privacy Steering Committee.
• Drive privacy risk identification, reporting, and governance.
• Advise leadership on strategic privacy risks to growth and trust.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, Security, and business units to align programs.
• Represent IDEXX with regulators, customers, and external stakeholders.
