Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a seasoned Principal: Mineral Processing & Ore Body Knowledge based in Denver to lead Geology-to-Mill integration and own the strategic mineral processing roadmap. You will mentor site teams and drive gold recovery optimization across global operations.

Responsibilities include governance of Health of Plant, data standardization, and managing site, vendor, and research partnerships to deliver measurable improvements and long-term capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geometallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant technical and operational experience in the mining industry.
• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive international business travel.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Values: embody and reinforce the company's Safety First culture and support investigations across sites.
• Strategy & Governance: own Health of Plant audit execution and global OBK strategy; establish global standards and QA/QC frameworks.
• Deployment & Value Delivery: drive geometallurgy and recovery model implementations; translate data into improvements in throughput and gold recovery.
• Technical Leadership & Partnerships: act as SME in Mineral Processing and Geology-to-Mill integration; oversee global geometallurgy and collaborations.
• Capability Building: create training paths, playbooks, and mentoring to build technical capability across sites.
