Job summary

Globally Recognized AM 100 Law Firm in New York is seeking a Pricing Operations Specialist to partner with Client Accounting, E-Billing, and cross-functional teams to manage client billing arrangements and rate structures. This role focuses on accuracy, training, and process improvement within a global team.

The position requires a 3+ year background in billing or rates, strong Excel skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Library and Information Science, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of corporate or law firm experience in billing, rates, or related role.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and Word.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Client Accounting Team globally to obtain information regarding client negotiated billing arrangements
• Communicate client billing arrangements and client billing requirements to assist with client negotiations and financial analysis
• Create rate cards based on client negotiations
• Prepare, maintain, and audit rate sets in accounting system (Aderant)
• Work with E-billing to prepare rate sheets for client submission based on agreed rates
• Provide training and support to Global Client Accounting Team with rates application
• Maintain accurate information in the firm’s matter intake system, i.e., client group, currency, addresses, billing coordinator, billing arrangement information, time increments
• Ensure firm compliance with client negotiated billing arrangements and client outside counsel policy by creating guidelines in accounting system, including red flag words, rules and advance premium/discount set ups],
