Job summary

SEL, a leading provider of protective relays and power system solutions, seeks an Application Engineer for the Global Accounts team. You will engage with industrial customers worldwide, delivering solutions, and educating stakeholders on SEL products and power system principles.

You will collaborate with Account Managers to tailor training, present at industry events, and publish technical materials. Significant travel (30–40%), including international destinations, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of experience with power system protection and relays.
• Experience with utility and industrial power systems focusing on protection, control, and operations.
• Ability to teach power system principles and concepts.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong customer experience improvement mindset.
• Willingness to travel 30–40%, including international destinations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Account Managers, ES, and customers to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Assisting customers with SEL products through visits, demos, training, and calls.
• Developing customer-specific training material and teaching power systems and SEL products.
• Presenting at SEL events, industry meetings, and conferences.
• Teaching SEL University courses.
• Publishing application guides, course materials, and technical papers; reviewing others' work.
• Enhancing customer feedback processes, training materials, and lead improvement initiatives.
