Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. in Texas is seeking an experienced Power & Interface IC Supply Chain R&D Engineer to own the technical aspects of our supply base.

The role focuses on ensuring capacity, quality, and resilience for PMICs and related devices, with accountability for risk management and performance metrics. You will lead supplier technical management, drive NPI coordination, and champion quality and reliability across global OSAT partners, bridging US and Asia teams in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in semiconductor supply chain R&D or related field.
Experience with power management or interface/analog-mixed-signal IC sourcing/qualification.
Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe/NVMe) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, qualify, and manage a base of power and interface IC suppliers and OSAT partners.
Establish supplier scorecards tracking OTD, quality, yield, reliability, and responsiveness.
Drive continuous-improvement initiatives with strategic suppliers and OSATs to improve yield and cycle time.
Manage dual-source and second-source strategies to mitigate single-source risk.
Coordinate technical reviews for NPI and balance device selection with reliability, yield, and schedule.
Collaborate with Hardware Design, SI, Packaging, and QA teams; act as escalation lead for supply issues.
