Job summary

Ford is seeking a senior sourcing professional to lead power electronics commodity strategy across multiple vehicle programs. You will own RFIs/RFQs, drive cost improvements, and partner with engineering to optimize BOM structures and cost drivers.

You will lead negotiations to ensure competitive pricing at Job 1 and manage global supplier relationships to mitigate risks. The role requires 5+ years in purchasing and cross-functional engineering collaboration in automotive or electronics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required.
• 5+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or strategic sourcing.
• 5+ years leading supplier negotiations and commercial execution.
• 5+ years cross-functional work with engineering and suppliers in technical environments.
• 5+ years in automotive or electronics-related sourcing, manufacturing, or programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing execution and strategy for power electronics commodities across programs.
• Own RFIs/RFQs, supplier selection, and contract execution with commercial accountability.
• Drive cost performance using should-cost modeling and fact-based negotiations.
• Lead supplier negotiations to achieve best cost at Job 1 and support cost reduction.
• Partner with engineering to understand BOM structures and cost drivers.
• Develop and execute commodity and supply base strategies including pricing and sourcing plans.
• Drive supplier transparency and close cost gaps to meet program targets.
• Manage sourcing deliverables aligning with timing and milestones.
• Collaborate with global teams to mitigate supply or cost risks.
