Ford Motor Company is seeking a Director, Tier 2 Components Supply Chain to lead Ford’s worldwide Tier2 electronics, electromechanical, and mechanical component sourcing strategy. The role oversees a multi-billion-dollar portfolio and a ~20-person team in North America, driving category strategy and supplier collaboration with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, SCM, Operations, or related field.
• 12+ years in purchasing or supply chain with 5+ years leading global teams.
• Significant Tier2 supplier experience and sub-tier visibility.
• Proven track record in high-value negotiations and cost performance.
• Deep understanding of automotive electronics supply chains and sub-tier dynamics.
• Experience managing sourcing across full vehicle program lifecycles.
• Strong cross-functional influence at the executive level and proficiency with cost analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own global category strategy for end-to-end Tier2 electronics and mechanical component portfolio.
• Lead negotiations and deliver annual cost and design cost commitments.
• Direct sourcing execution for major futures programs with engineering alignment.
• Diversify supply base and build dual-source regional capabilities.
• Ensure supply resilience, inventory strategies, and supplier risk mitigation.
• Partner with semiconductor sourcing to secure silicon supply and terms.
• Drive supplier quality and warranty performance improvements.
• Lead executive business reviews with strategic suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with content, trade, and sustainability standards.
• Build and develop the team, upskill cost and negotiation capabilities.
• Act as change leader to simplify processes and move faster.
