Job summary
Ford in Dearborn is seeking a procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations for engine components and related categories. You will develop sourcing plans, manage RFQs, and drive cost reductions while partnering with Product Development to align on supply base and technology trends.
The role requires 3+ years in automotive procurement, travel as needed, and a hybrid schedule (4 days in Dearborn, 1 day remote).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of direct automotive procurement and supply chain experience.
- Travel as required to supply partners.
- Availability to work hybrid (4 days in Dearborn & 1 days optional remote).
- Be a leader with process-improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing plans enabling completion of commercial negotiations and strategic sourcing.
- Lead RFQ preparation, evaluate supplier quotations, and finalize Commercial Agreements.
- Drive cost reduction strategies and supplier performance across regions.
- Lead global supplier negotiations to support Quality, Cost, Delivery and resilience.
- Collaborate with Product Development to understand supply base and trends.
- Close commercial issues timely to avoid impacting plant builds.
