Job summary

General Motors is seeking a seasoned semiconductor purchasing professional to develop a robust supply chain and lead commodity strategies for our electronics and software needs. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, legal, finance, and operations.

In this role, you will optimize procurement through RFQ management, P2P processes, and contingency planning, while partnering with executives to deliver value and resilience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, supply chain, program/product management or related experience.
• Experience in semiconductors and supplier negotiations including contracts.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies based on market trends and technology.
• Manage procurement for productive/non-productive materials, machinery, tooling and services.
• Negotiate price, terms, and contract elements to complete full packages.
• Analyze supply chain performance and apply value-chain optimization tools.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on RFQ, P2P, and order fulfillment.
