Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Global Category Manager for Powder & Atomization to own sourcing strategy, supplier relations, and commercial execution for metal powders and atomization services.

You will develop a multi-year category plan, manage end-to-end procurement, and drive cost performance in a fast-growing additive manufacturing environment. Requires 8+ years in procurement with metals experience and strong collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical or supply chain field.
• 8+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience.
• Experience sourcing and contracting direct/raw materials with multi-source programs.
• Technical fluency in metal powders or related materials and specifications.
• Strong spend analytics, should-cost modeling, and TCO skills.
• Ability to translate technical needs into commercial strategies with engineering and quality.
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier-relations capabilities at senior levels.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year category strategy for metal powders and atomization services.
• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for powder producers and toll atomizers.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality on specifications and qualification.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle from demand planning to PO execution.
• Build and maintain a qualified supplier panel with KPIs.
• Develop should-cost models and TCO frameworks; provide cost benchmarking.
• Identify and mitigate supply risk; maintain risk registers and dual-sourcing plans.
• Define annual savings and cost-avoidance roadmap; report pipeline and spend metrics.
