Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Global Category Manager for Powder & Atomization to shape the sourcing strategy for metal powders and atomization services.

You will manage supplier relationships, drive cost performance, and collaborate with Materials Engineering and Quality to meet the needs of a rapidly growing manufacturing platform. You will lead end-to-end procurement, build a resilient supplier panel, and develop cost models to optimize spend while ensuring compliance and quality across

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, with at least 4 years managing direct-material or commodity categories.
• Experience sourcing and contracting for direct or raw materials, including supplier qualification and multi-source programs.
• Technical fluency in metal powders or similar engineered-material categories, including specs and QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year category strategy for metal powders and atomization services.
• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with powder producers and toll atomizers.
• Partner with Engineering and QA on powder specs, acceptance criteria, and supplier qualification.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle from demand to delivery for uninterrupted production.
• Build and maintain a qualified supplier panel and monitor KPI performance.
• Develop should-cost models and TCO frameworks; provide cost benchmarking.
