Job summary

AIG is seeking an Analyst in the Underwriting – Political Risk department in New York City. You will work on evaluating political and economic risks for global businesses, and you will collaborate with seasoned underwriters to design tailored insurance solutions.

The role requires strong communication, analytical abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This in-person program begins July 26, 2027, with supportive development and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and underwriting of political and economic risks associated with businesses and investments operating across global markets.
• Review country, financial, economic, and exposure information to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Partner with experienced underwriters and risk professionals to develop tailored solutions for complex international exposures.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
• Monitor geopolitical, economic, and market developments to identify emerging risks and support informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop knowledge of political risk insurance and international markets while building analytical, research, and relationship-management skills.
