Job summary

AIG is seeking an Analyst in the Underwriting - Construction department to join our fast‑moving team and help evaluate risks on complex construction projects. You will work with underwriters, risk engineers, and brokers to develop tailored insurance solutions and support both new business and renewals.

This in‑person, entry‑level program requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree by June 2027. You’ll join a cohort emphasizing learning, mentorship, and hands‑on experience across global projects.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks for commercial construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Review project information, financial data, loss history, and exposures to inform risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
  • Partner with underwriters, risk engineers, claims professionals, and other specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
  • Assist in evaluating changing exposures throughout the project lifecycle and identifying risk‑management considerations.
  • Develop knowledge of construction insurance, industry trends, and emerging risks while building underwriting skills.
