Qualifications

• Must be a college junior, grad student, or recent graduate in Economics or International Affairs.
• Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week) in the office four days a week.
• Strong international affairs background from academic or professional experience.
• Interest in national security and how economic power advances foreign policy.
• Experience with WordPress and developing/editing webpages.
• Experience organizing events or leading groups.
• Data analysis and research skills – Python, R, Excel.
• Strong analytic and communication skills.
• Language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute ESI events, draft invite language, track RSVPs, and handle in-person logistics.
• Regularly create social media content summarizing publications and current events.
• Draft memos for the director’s speaking engagements with guidance from staff.
• Produce data visualizations for ESI’s trackers, publications, and social media.
• Conduct research to support Initiative activities and briefings.
• Assist the ESI staff in daily operations and programming.
