Atlantic Council Of The U S is seeking motivated interns to join the GeoEconomics Center in Washington, DC. This internship offers hands-on exposure to data visualization, event planning, research, and publication tasks, with responsibilities spanning social media management, infographics, and program support.

Based in our headquarters, the role requires at least four days in the office each week and pays $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a college sophomore or recent graduate in international economics, finance, public policy, or a relevant discipline.
• Strong analytical, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sound judgment.
• Interest in geoeconomics, international trade, fiscal & monetary policy, digital currencies, and the global economic architecture.
• Eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with logistical and administrative duties for GeoEcon Center programming.
• Assist in the daily production of social media posts across multiple platforms.
• Assist in the creation of GeoEcon Center data visualizations.
• Assist in the publication and maintenance of GeoEcon Center online products.
• Assist with the editing and preparation of research briefs and other publications.
• Collaborate on event planning and organization and assist with day-of-event management.
• Conduct ad hoc research tasks to support the activities of the GeoEcon Center, including memos/briefings on current events, key stakeholders, and emerging issues.
• Draft events preparation material, speakers’ briefs, and background information.
• Draft correspondence and take notes at Council roundtables and strategy sessions for program archives.
• Track and/or manage GeoEcon Center media mentions, program metrics, and contact lists.
