Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Project Manager to sit with the Global Payment Network (GPN) PMO and lead digital platform initiatives. This role will manage end-to-end delivery across domestic and international eCommerce and tokenization efforts, collaborating with product, technology, and operations teams to ensure successful, well-governed deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• At least 3 years of Project Management experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or advanced certifications (CSM, CPO, SAFE).
• 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 2+ years of experience in Program, Portfolio or Product Management.
• 2+ years of experience in Financial Services.
• 2+ years of experience in the Consumer Credit Card industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple program/project deliveries that impact Digital Platforms (i.e. new partner Launches, network improvements and priorities).
• Full engagement and delivery of programs, including discovery/portfolio tracking, project tracking and execution, governance and well managed activities.
• Owns the end-to-end management of initiatives from the 'Manage' phase onwards, including seamless handoff from Portfolio Management, and ensuring all requirements are met.
• Collaborate with all levels of the organization to monitor and manage the critical path, plan contingencies, facilitate scope changes, and control resource expenditure
• Full service management of communications and stakeholder engagement including reporting on program and feature delivery progress, managing escalations and impediment resolution
• Insights and improvements for future programs/project based on execution learnings
• Build and maintain high trust relationships with partner teams across the Network to keep abreast of current strategies and manage work in progress
• Lead the management of complex technical interdependencies, coordinating cross-functional delivery teams, and proactively mitigating execution risks to ensure seamless deployment.
• Facilitate standard PMO routines (e.g., S3 status huddles, decision forums, and leadership reviews) and drive adherence to standard artifact templates to ensure data transparency and regulatory compliance.
• Identify Jira tagging/reporting issues and work across product teams to troubleshoot access, data entry & reconcile Jira
