Job summary

Kids Around the World is seeking a hands-on operations coordinator to support the Play Program and Food Program logistics, including removal, refurbishment, shipping, installation, and event support with volunteers.

The role also involves leading teams, traveling internationally (1-3 trips/yr) and domestically (6-12 trips/yr), and attending weekly meetings. Benefits include health insurance stipend, 401k with employer match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate volunteers
• Resourceful with problem-solving
• Experience with construction, welding or fabrication a plus
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Comfortable engaging audiences in high-energy environments
• Proficient with Google Drive and KATW platforms

Responsibilities

• Support and execute Playground Removal SOP and refurbishment processes
• Maintain accurate inventory and reporting for playground refurbishment and shipment prep
• Lead volunteer teams for removals and refurbishment
• Travel internationally (1-3 trips/year) to support installation
• Travel domestically (6-12 trips/year) for remote removals
• Act as showrunner or support for Food Program events (2-5 annually)
• Execute Food Packing Events per Playbook; engage volunteers and MC events
• Capture stories and images post-events to relay program impact
• Develop and improve logistical efficiencies for the program
• Attend weekly staff and team meetings and perform other duties as assigned
