Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a hands-on People Operations Partner to own day-to-day People Ops for our global workforce. You’ll manage onboarding, offboarding, lifecycle transactions, data quality, and employee support while engaging in employee relations and cross-functional projects.

This execution-first role will be ~70% core People Operations and ~30% adjacent work across regions and time zones. You’ll help maintain compliant, human processes as we scale, with a curiosity for AI-enabled HR tools.

Qualifications

• Supports onboarding and offboarding, and day-to-day HR transactions.
• Experience supporting a global or multi-country workforce across time zones.
• Attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume employee lifecycle work (onboarding, offboarding, transfers, job changes) and coordinate cross-functional follow-through.
• Partner with employees and leaders across regions and time zones to execute global People processes.
• Provide benefits support including enrollments and life events, coordinating with vendors.
• Maintain audit-ready HRIS records and flag data gaps or compliance risks.
• Triage employee and manager questions on policies, processes, benefits, and systems; escalate when needed.
• Handle sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgment.
• Pull and clean reports from HRIS and adjacent systems; help maintain dashboards and summaries.
• Support high-impact People initiatives (HRIS/ATS improvements, workflow redesign, audits) and cross-functional projects.
• Identify practical AI/automation opportunities to reduce busywork while protecting privacy and accuracy.
