Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Total Rewards leader who is deeply fluent in compensation and energized by analytics and cross-functional work as the company scales globally.

This hands-on Manager / Senior Manager role covers base pay, variable pay, equity, benefits, and related processes across a remote workforce, with work spanning headcount planning, budgeting, and M&A from a People/Total Rewards lens. Collaboration with People, Recruiting, Finance, and executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Total Rewards programs across a global, remote workforce.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to turn messy data into decisions.
• Familiarity with compensation platforms, job architecture, and pay equity analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day compensation programs globally, including base pay, variable pay, and equity processes.
• Partner with leaders on offers, leveling, and pay decisions to ensure market-aligned decisions.
• Lead headcount planning and people budgeting; model costs for merit, bonus, and equity pools.
• Support M&A from a People/Total Rewards perspective and enable scalable processes.
