Job summary

Joko is seeking a People Operations Manager to help the company double its headcount while maintaining a seamless, compliant employee experience across France, Spain and the US. You will lead payroll, contracts, amendments, benefits, visas, and time off with precision and confidentiality.

You will also own compliance, HRIS data, and tooling, automate processes with AI, and partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace Management to deliver a best-in-class People Ops function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in People Operations or HR administration in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
• Depth in payroll, compliance, HR systems, or HR projects.
• End-to-end payroll proficiency and strong HRIS skills.
• Strong knowledge of French labor law; international exposure is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and reliable with data accuracy.
• Fluent in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
• AI familiarity and willingness to automate repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Run core People Ops processes end-to-end: payroll, contracts, amendments, benefits, visas, time off across FR, ES, and US.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and support audits, fundraising, and due diligence.
• Build and maintain HRIS data as a single source of truth and provide reporting.
• Document and automate People Ops processes using AI where applicable.
• Deliver seamless onboarding and offboarding with the team, ensuring a human experience.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partner, and Workplace Management.
