Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior People Compliance Manager to lead global HR compliance initiatives. You will partner with Legal and People teams to assess risks, develop policies, and ensure audit readiness across regions.

The role requires building scalable compliance programs, managing policy libraries, and guiding employment-law initiatives while leveraging AI to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HR compliance or related regulatory program role.
• Deep knowledge of US labor/employment laws and global regs preferred.
• Experience drafting employee policies for multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with HRIS controls and internal audits.
• Strong ability to explain regulations in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Advise the business on People compliance risk across labor laws, policy areas, and global footprint.
• Own the global People policy library including handbooks, letters, and agreements.
• Oversee compliance across the employee lifecycle with onboarding and offboarding controls.
• Track regulatory changes and translate them into policy and process updates.
• Build governance with roadmaps, audit calendars, dashboards, and training programs.
• Manage statutory reporting obligations internationally, including pay transparency and payroll tax.
• Apply AI/automation to streamline compliance tasks and evidence gathering.
