Etsy is seeking a Global Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll operations for international countries, ensuring accurate, compliant processing. You will partner with People Operations, Finance, Tax, Equity, and external payroll providers to deliver a superior employee experience while driving scalability.

The role requires proactive problem-solving, a strong service mindset, and the ability to manage complex payroll issues across regions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive payroll experience, including ownership of multi-country payrolls.
• Strong Workday HCM and payroll integrations knowledge.
• Experience partnering with third-party global payroll providers.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience leading payroll audits and implementing process improvements.
• Knowledge of international payroll compliance, tax rules, and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned international countries, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution.
• Serve as the primary payroll partner for international employees, resolving complex inquiries with high service levels.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers to validate inputs, reconcile variances, and meet reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with Finance on funding, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities.
• Lead payroll audits, data validations, and QA reviews to improve accuracy and reduce risk.
• Identify automation opportunities and standardize processes for scalability.
• Support Workday enhancements, integrations, and testing as a payroll SME.
• Provide backup support for U.S. payroll processing as needed.
