Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in Austin, Texas seeks a Payroll Specialist I responsible for multi-state U.S. and Canadian payrolls, using Dayforce HCM. You will ensure compliance with payroll laws and collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance to resolve inquiries and maintain data integrity.

Classic duties include processing regular and off-cycle payrolls, year-end activities, garnishments, taxes, and reconciliations while upholding strict accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, HR, or business administration.
• Five+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Strong Dayforce HCM experience within the last seven years.
• Minimum of two years of Canadian payroll processing experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll for high-volume employees.
• Working knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, wage and hour laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle using Dayforce HCM.
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and tax elections.
• Audit payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before transmission.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local wage and hour laws and company policies.
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and IT to support payroll system enhancements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
