Job summary

Vedder Price P.C. is seeking a Payroll Manager in Chicago to lead domestic and international payroll across the United States, United Kingdom, and Singapore.

The role emphasizes creating efficient payroll calendars, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong internal controls. You will mentor the payroll team, manage system reconciliations, and coordinate with Accounting for reporting and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of six to eight years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
• Hands-on experience processing and approving payroll in UKG is required; experience with ADP is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing multi-state and international payrolls (US, UK, Singapore) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for domestic and international payroll delivery.
• Establish payroll calendars, assign team responsibilities, monitor workflow, and ensure cycle accuracy.
• Coach and develop payroll staff, maintain internal controls, and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for US, UK, and Singapore.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations.
• Partner with Accounting to reconcile payroll accounts and support financial reporting.
