Job summary

AQR Capital Management in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a Global Payroll Lead to manage day-to-day payroll execution across the U.S. and multiple countries. You will bring deep expertise in ADP and Workday, and you will partner with Finance and HR to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7–10+ years in high-volume payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll taxation, deductions, and year-end reporting.
• Experience with multi-country payroll and international vendors.
• Significant experience with ADP and Workday required; Workday Payroll a plus.
• Excellent reconciliation, Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processes across the U.S. and multiple countries.
• Review outputs for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with Finance.
• Manage U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements and filings.
• Maintain payroll calendars, year-end activities, and audit readiness.
• Manage relationships with global payroll vendors and local providers.
• Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls.
• Administer time tracking in Workday and support time-tracking questions.
• Serve as the primary contact for payroll and time-tracking inquiries.
• Support expansion into new states/countries and vendor transitions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and controls.
