Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) seeks a Payroll Director to lead a high-volume payroll operation across North America and beyond. You will manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Finance, HR, and external vendors to support complex payroll requirements.

The role reports to the VP of HR Administration and requires extensive experience in multi-entity payroll, tax filings, and process improvements. CPA/CPP preferred and union exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience.
• 5+ years managing large multi-state payroll environments.
• FPC and/or CPP certification preferred.
• Experience overseeing payroll for 10,000+ employees across entities/locations.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities and regions.
• Recruit, hire, and train payroll staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations on payroll-related initiatives.
• Oversee audits, tax filings, and year-end processes (W-2s).
