Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Full-stack Engineer (Global Payment Network) to lead high-performing engineering teams, drive technical strategy, and transform large-scale cloud-native systems.

You will mentor engineers, shape multi-year roadmaps, and collaborate with product and platform leaders to deliver robust solutions for millions of customers, with a focus on distributed microservices and modern tech stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• At least 3 years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineers, stay current with tech trends, and contribute code when needed
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for end users
• Lead teams using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript; work with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS
• Drive multi-year roadmaps and investments with architecture and platform leaders
• Develop leaders and succession plans across teams
