Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Full-stack Software Engineering leader to mentor teams, drive technical strategy, and transform checkout and travel experiences through distributed microservices and cloud-native solutions. You will guide engineering managers, align architecture with business goals, and partner with product and platform teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration, and a track record of delivering large-scale web applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience (Internships excluded).
• 3+ years of public cloud/platform experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• 3+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Collaborate with product managers to define roadmaps and ensure delivery of large-scale initiatives.
• Mentor Lead Engineers, build leadership capability, and drive architectural alignment.
• Guide end-to-end design and implementation of cloud-native, high-reliability systems.
