Job summary

University of Utah's English Language Institute seeks a Student Service Coordinator/Pathway Advisor to design, deliver, and coordinate holistic support for international language pathway students. You will liaise with advising, housing, counseling, and ISSS to ensure academic and social success.

Responsibilities include case management, programming for engagement and wellness, and reporting on progress, with schedule M-F 8–4 and some evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) + 2 years related work exp, or a master's degree.
• Mandarin Chinese language ability preferred.
• Experience with student engagement and retention.
• Experience with international student support.
• Experience with continuous program improvement.
• Independent, pro-active, effective communicator with excellent follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic student support for English language pathway students.
• Coordinate academic, personal, cultural support and counseling as needed.
• Develop programming for engagement, wellness, and integration.
• Collaborate with ISSS, housing, counseling, and advising teams.
• Report on student progress, risk, retention, and engagement.
• Contribute to training, onboarding, and program improvement.
