Job summary

Harpak-ULMA Packaging, based in Taunton, MA, is seeking a Capital Equipment Project Manager to lead packaging projects from concept to completion across North America and Europe.

Own the full lifecycle, manage projects valued at $500K–$3M, drive timelines and budgets, coordinate with cross-border teams and suppliers, and travel to Europe for training and testing.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3–5 years PM experience preferred, with packaging machinery experience a big plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on project management experience.
• Proven success managing complex capital equipment projects.
• Experience with packaging machinery in food or medical device industries is a big plus.
• Bonus points for working with European-based companies or multilingual teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Full Project Lifecycle: From definition and engineering to installation and closure, you’ll manage packaging systems valued at $500K–$3M.
• Be the Client’s Go-To Expert: Lead communications, align expectations, and build lasting relationships.
• Coordinate Across Borders: Work with suppliers and teams in North America and Europe, navigating cultural nuances with diplomacy.
• Solve Real-World Challenges: Tackle mechanical, electrical, controls, and safety issues with the support of subject matter experts.
• Lead with Confidence: Run kick-off meetings, engineering reviews, FATs, and SATs.
• Drive Results: Ensure quality, timelines, and budgets are met while managing procurement, resources, and risks.
