Job summary

Interra International, LLC. is seeking a bilingual Global Operations Specialist to ensure shipments to Central and South America stay compliant and move smoothly.

You will file EEI, determine necessary export documents, and issue shipping instructions to ocean carriers while keeping Spanish-speaking customers informed. The role requires coordinating with Sales, resolving documentation issues, and delivering accurate export information with a strong compliance mindset.

Qualifications

• EEI filing through AES per U.S. export regulations.
• Identify required documents per shipment by country and commodity.
• Track shipments using Incoterms and capture costs.
• Communicate with customers in Spanish by phone and writing.

We’re looking for a bilingual Global Operations Specialist to keep our shipments to Central and South America moving and compliant. You’ll file electronic export information and manage export documentation, submit shipping instructions to ocean carriers, and be the person our Spanish-speaking customers trust to keep them informed.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and file EEI through AES in line with U.S. export regulations
• Review each shipment and determine the documents it needs by country and commodity
• Track shipments to the customer, applying Incoterms and capturing all costs
• Build relationships with customers by phone and in writing, in Spanish
• Resolve documentation and delivery issues, and work with Sales to keep customers informed

What you bring

• At least 1 year in export operations, export compliance, freight forwarding, or international logistics
• Fluent English and Spanish, including professional reading and writing in Spanish
• Working knowledge of U.S. export compliance and AES regulations
• Sharp attention to detail and a compliance mindset
• A customer-first approach and the ability to build rapport over the phone
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred: transportation, international business, or supply chain)
• Ability to pass a reference and background check
