Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a senior leader to drive the global product and development strategy for an oncology asset in Cambridge, MA. You will own clinical development and orchestrate the plan to maximize product value, partnering across commercial, BD, and regulatory functions.

The role requires an MD with 10+ years in pharma/academic research and proven leadership in late-stage development, regulatory filings, and launches.

Qualifications

• MD with 10+ years of pharmaceutical/academic/medical research experience.
• Oncology development experience including regulatory filings (BLA/NDA) and product launches.
• Leadership, data-driven strategy planning, cross-functional communication and mentoring.
• Staff management, collaboration, and alliance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Development Team (GDT) for an oncology asset.
• Own clinical development of the product/indication and oversee the clinical development plan.
• Build and deliver an integrated product strategy to drive approvals and maximize value.
• Provide updates to the Disease Area Head on program metrics, milestones, and risks.
• Manage the R&D budget and optimize funding savings and reallocations.
• Partner with Oncology Commercial, BD & Commercial Development on US/ex-US opportunities.
• Incorporate regulatory and statistical input into trial design and ensure health authority interactions.
• Guide talent acquisition, performance management, and alignment across functions.
