Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior leader to head the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Development Team (GDT) for a key oncology asset. You will own the clinical development plan, drive strategy through milestones, and partner with Oncology Commercial, BD, and Regulatory teams to maximize product value.

You will manage the development budget, integrate regulatory and statistical insights into trial design, and mentor a high-performance team across global functions.

Qualifications

• MD with 10+ years of pharma/academic/medical research experience.
• Data-driven strategy leadership and strong decision-making.
• Oncology experience is required.
• Experience with corporate partners/alliance management and matrix leadership.
• Experience in early and late-stage product development and regulatory filings (BLA/NDA).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Development Team (GDT) for a specific asset/product.
• Accountable for clinical development plans and execution.
• Define and drive integrated product strategy to enable approvals and maximize value.
• Interface with Disease Area Head and oversight of program milestones and risks.
• Oversee R&D budget, cost management, and reallocation as needed.
• Collaborate with Oncology Commercial, BD & Commercial Development on opportunities.
• Integrate regulatory and statistical input into trial design and health authority interactions.
• Guide cross-functional strategy and communicate plans to teams.
• Lead talent acquisition, mentoring, and performance management for the program.
• Ensure safety evaluations and clinical pharmacology considerations in dose/schedule.
• Incorporate advisory board input into trial design; manage objectives and risks.
