Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director, Global Clinical Development to lead clinical strategy and execution across indicated assets. You will head a team of physicians and scientists, drive study design, analysis, and regulatory submissions, and ensure high-quality data packages.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and delivery of compliant, impactful results. The position requires an advanced life sciences degree and 8+ years in clinical development,

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences required.
  • 8+ years experience including leadership in design and execution of multiple clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated success in people leadership and/or matrix leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives clinical development strategy across given asset indications.
  • Leads Clinical Development Team(s) for given indication(s).
  • Provides clinical and disease area expertise for integrated strategies.
  • Represents Clinical as authority for the indication/ disease area (regulatory interactions; Business Development support).
  • Engages cross-functionally with internal leaders, external investigators, KOLs, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Presents clinical strategy, data, and risk assessments to governance bodies, health authorities, and senior leadership.
  • Leads design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of all clinical studies for given asset indications.
  • Ensures studies meet regulatory, quality, medical, and access objectives and align with target label indications.
  • Ensures timely, high-quality protocols and data packages for CSRs and Regulatory Filings; implements QA plans.
  • Accountable for clinical content and data quality for CSRs, trial documents, regulatory submissions, briefing books, and publications.
  • Oversees trial progress; identifies/mitigates risk; provides regular status and risk updates.
  • Champions quality, compliance, and GCP adherence.
  • Sets priorities aligned to program objectives and ensures appropriate budget/resourcing.
  • Attracts, develops, and retains top clinical talent through leadership, mentoring, and training.
  • Fosters scientific excellence, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
