Job summary

Quantinuum seeks a Deployment Physicist for on-premises installation based in the London or Cambridge area to install and service Helios systems worldwide.

The role involves hands-on hardware integration, validation, and international travel, with duties including shipment preparation, on-site deployment, and ongoing support for Helios installations across global customer sites. You will work with global teams and contribute to future offerings while adhering to safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. completed
• Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience in atomic physics or quantum computing
• Eligibility to complete international travel
• U.S. Person defined as citizen, permanent resident or green card holder
• Not a PRC or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities

• Successfully install Helios systems on customer premises including shipment preparation
• Improve and mature deployment plans and work instructions
• Own qubit-based integration and validation tasks during deployment
• Provide remote and on-site support with global team
• Participate in integration and validation at Quantinuum prior to deployment
• Contribute to future on-premises hardware offerings post-Helios
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 3 months at a time, 25% of time
