Job summary

Verdant Specialty Solutions LLC seeks an experienced Category Manager – Oleochemicals to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for oleochemical and commodity chemical categories. You’ll report to the Procurement Director and develop sourcing strategies across global suppliers in North America and Southeast Asia.

You will negotiate contracts, build should-cost models, apply total cost of ownership, monitor markets, and ensure supply continuity with planning, operations, R&D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years in procurement or strategic sourcing within the chemical industry.
• Experience sourcing globally, including North America and Southeast Asia.
• SAP experience and advanced Excel for spend analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for oleochemicals and chemicals.
• Identify and develop global suppliers across NA and SEA.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, terms, and supply agreements.
• Build should-cost models and apply total cost of ownership principles.
• Monitor commodity markets and anticipate trends and risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure supply continuity.
