Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Regional Category Manager to lead sourcing for chemical categories and key raw materials in the U.S. You will align with Global Category teams, drive supplier performance, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure supply continuity while delivering year-over-year cost savings.

You will work cross-functionally with Quality, Technical, and EHS, collaborate with operations and finance, and stay ahead of market trends in water treatment chemicals. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPSM/CPM is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in Procurement/Supply Chain or equivalent with KPIs.
• Experience negotiating with chemical suppliers, preferably water treatment.
• Strong technical and market knowledge in chemical sourcing; matrixed organization experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for chemical categories and raw materials.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and corrective actions.
• Negotiate long-term agreements and mitigate supply risk via multi-sourcing.
• Collaborate with Quality, Technical, and EHS to ensure supplier compliance.
• Coordinate with operations, planning, and logistics to ensure inbound supply.
• Monitor usage trends and support budget forecasting and price tracking.
• Drive year-over-year savings through competitive bidding and value engineering.
