Job summary

Balsam Brands is seeking a hybrid Logistics Coordinator to execute high-volume ocean container movements and support the Sr. Logistics Manager. You will coordinate shipments, gather requirements, and maintain clear ownership and timely execution with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires 3–5 years in freight coordination, strong data skills, and effective cross-functional communication across time zones. Competitive benefits accompany a base pay range disclosed by the company.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inbound or import freight coordination with ocean container movements.
• Working knowledge of drayage operations, port processes, detention, demurrage and last free day concepts.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, drayage carriers, and 3PL warehouse partners.
• Strong data reconciliation and organizational skills across multiple shipment records and data sources.
• Proven ability to manage exceptions under time pressure and route to the right owner for resolution.
• Excellent communication across internal teams and external vendors across time zones.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
• Demonstrated AI literacy across diverse business functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments from initial request through delivery.
• Support shipments outside standard inbound processes (expedited/specialized).
• Gather requirements and ensure internal teams and partners have necessary information.
• Coordinate communication among suppliers, retail partners, warehouses, 3PLs, and stakeholders.
• Maintain ownership, status and next steps for shipments.
