Job summary

Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems is seeking a Global Ocean Freight Specialist to manage end-to-end global ocean and premium freight activities, aligning with material planning and supply chain priorities. You will lead negotiations, onboarding, and governance across multiple time zones.

The role requires 5–7 years in international logistics, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in Power BI and TMS systems to drive cost control and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Transportation, or related field.
• 5–7 years of international logistics experience.
• Advanced Power BI and MS Office skills.
• Strong understanding of TMS, freight indexes, and incoterms.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and summarize complex data.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance and reliability of global freight forwarders.
• Lead cross-functional contract negotiations with Purchasing and Legal.
• Oversee onboarding, TMS integration, training, and compliance of freight forwarders.
• Conduct governance meetings and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
• Lead annual Global Ocean Freight bid process across enterprise trade lanes.
