Job summary

Jobot is seeking a logistics leader in Houston to oversee inbound/outbound shipments, internal transfers, and freight across warehouses and partners. You will manage department financials, staffing, inventory quality, and on-time delivery while driving cost control and process improvements.

The role requires ocean imports expertise, data analytics, and travel readiness for up to 10%. A Bachelor's degree with significant logistics experience and Lean Six Sigma certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with ocean imports and logistics operations.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in business partner relationship management and contract negotiation.
• Willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in logistics preferred, or 10+ years in global logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversees logistics staff and daily operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.
• Manages logistics and inventory across 3rd-party warehouses and ensures CBP compliance.
• Responsible for all logistics-related costs including brokerage, taxation, and storage.
• Leads RFP/RFI/RFQ processes for transportation and 3PL services.
• Maintains HTS codes and duty/tariff rates in SAP.
• Drives KPI performance through cost reduction and tech use.
• Collaborates with Supply Chain and Customer Service to optimize inventory and throughput.
• Provides forecasts and financial data to support planning.
• Works with Director of Operations to implement strategy and improve processes.
• Identifies bottlenecks and migrates data to SAP.
