Job summary

Dominion Engineering, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Hardware Services Technician to assemble, test, pack, and maintain our custom hardware systems in-office lab and during on-site deployments at nuclear power plants worldwide.

You will travel extensively, troubleshoot equipment, train customers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance with industry procedures. The role requires hands-on technical aptitude and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating or maintaining industrial equipment in the nuclear, oil and gas, or similar industrial environment.
• Preferred: Forklift and/or heavy machinery operating experience.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Travel worldwide to install, operate, and demobilize equipment in commercial nuclear plants, complying with procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment performance via remote or on-site methods and coordinate repairs.
• Communicate logistics, describe and coordinate complex work activities, and train customers.
• Assist assembly and testing activities at Dominion’s laboratory facility, including assembly of materials and factory acceptance testing.
• Maintain a tidy, well-organized laboratory workspace and inventory of tools and supplies.
• Follow safety rules and regulations, and continuously learn new technologies.
