Job summary

Position Description

As a Materials Engineer you will be responsible for supporting nuclear power plant materials engineering consulting and analyses. Topical areas include corrosion science, fracture mechanics, material degradation (including irradiation, thermal, and corrosion effects), metallurgical engineering, materials characterization, and developing and executing laboratory test programs.

Dominion Engineering, Inc. (Dominion), an Allied Power division is seeking an engineer with 0 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in materials engineering, including those graduating by August 2026. In addition to performing various engineering analyses, the responsibilities of this position include drafting of reports documenting analyses, as well as working with other Dominion subject matter experts and engineers to produce various types of related assessment and guidance documents for industry clients. Physical Demands

• Work in an office and laboratory environment

• Daily work expectation requires ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, and climbing (up to 25 pounds) in position above and below head, and extended from body to complete repairs

• Ability to twist the body and neck while driving company vehicles or operating company equipment
